No telekom fixed line at Sungai Plan Flat – a form of discriminations against flat dwellers


I wish to bring to the attention of the relevant authority regarding the above subject.

The Sungai Plan Flat has been in existence for more than 5 years, yet until this date there’s no telekom fixed line installed for the benefits of the dwellers.   Are the flat dwellers the 2nd class citizen that doesn’t deserve the proper communications facilities?   Or is it that telekom is scared that the users in this area cannot pay for the subscription of fixed line because they are poor or 2nd class citizens.   Or is it better to say that, they are scared that the flat dwellers might vandalize these facilities?  Or is it better still to say that the dwellers are mostly from other towns staying temporarily here and whose votes are irrelevant?   This is a total discrimination by telekom towards flat dwellers.



To the relevant authority, please look into this matter before it became an issue, as the elections is just around the corner.

Staff attitude at Klinik Pakar, Bintulu Hospital


I have the worst encounter at Klinik Pakar, Hospital Bintulu on my first visit there.


On 15.11.2010, I went to Klinik Pakar, Hospital Bintulu, to send my father for eye check-up.   I arrived there at about 8:15am.   I submitted my father’s outpatient card to the counter and waited.

After waiting for about an hour or so, come my father’s turn.   Instead of letting my father going to the counter, I decided to go instead.   They called my father’s name.   As I was approaching the counter, the counter staff broke into laughter.   2 or 3 of them laugh so hard that one of them went to the back to continue laughing.   Shocked, I just stood near the counter hoping they would stop laughing.   I was puzzled, what’s so funny!   I looked at myself to check if I look funny, but everything looked normal.   I looked around, saw about 40 ~ 50 people in the clinic at that particular time.   All eyes were on me.   Imagine my embarrassment at that material time, only God knew.   Luckily they stopped sooner otherwise I would have banged the table in anger.   I paid the RM5 consultation fees and proceeded to bring my father to Klinik No. 2 (Eye Clinic).

I think the counter staff at Klinik Pakar, Bintulu Hospital are “kurang sopan” or worst “kurang ajar”.   How could they laugh like that in front of the public.   They got the wrong subject to laugh at.   They didn’t know who they are dealing with.

That was the first incident.

On 08.12.2010, I went again to send my father for check-up after operation (my father underwent cataract operation on 03.12.2010).   I arrived around 7:50am and immediately submitted my father’s outpatient card to the counter, at that time there were about 20 ~ 30 people in the clinic.   As usual I waited.    After about an hour waiting, my father’s name not called yet.   Fine, I thought to myself maybe due to many people, that’s why slow.   I waited again.   At this time it was already about 9:30am, but my father’s name not called yet.   Suddenly, I saw an eye patient who came far after me (about 9:00 am) being called to the counter and of course proceed to Klinik No.2 for eye check-up.   Not satisfied with this situation, I approached the counter and demanded why my father’s name not called yet and those came later than us being served first.   So, the counter clerk proceed to check the where about of my father’s outpatient card.   To my surprise my father’s outpatient card was ignored and kept on the cupboard at the back.   What the Heck!   What on earth they did that for whereas I was waiting for about one & half hour for my father’s name to be called?   This is too much!

As a result, it took us about four & half hours wait at the clinic just to have a simple follow-up check.  Just imagine that!

These bloody counter staff of Klinik Pakar, Bintulu Hospital were inefficient and yet they received RM500 as bonus at the end of the year.   Besides that they received all kinds of allowance and other fringe benefits.   Heck!  These are the people’s money, our rakyat’s money.

These are the two incidents I encountered at Klinik Pakar, Hospital Bintulu that I’m sure I would not forget.   I will be lodging a complain to Pengarah Kesihatan Negeri Sarawak about this incidents.
