Why BN is not keen in registering new/young voters

The present list of voters in Sarawak is not up to date. From the random list of voters for Bintulu constituency, I found out that some of the voters are as old as 105 years of age. I doubt these voters are still alive today. (It is obvious that the EC is not doing their job in updating the voters list).

As a neutral individual not aligned to any political parties, I am very concerned about this matter. A lot of unexpected things can happen which will hinder the proper execution of a clean democratic practice. If the opposition is not careful, this list of voters which contents "ghost voters" can be of advantage to those in control of the election process. The EC are supposed to be an independent body, but think again, who take care of their payroll? The answer is in your head.

The registration exercises of new/young voters should be done by the EC all year round to make sure every citizens has the opportunity to exercise their rights when election time comes. Intense campaign or rigorous mobile voters registration exercises should be carried out by the EC regularly. But in Sarawak, this is not the case. The EC just couldn't careless whether the citizens register or not.

This is actually the fear of BN, young voters. Younger citizens are much more knowledgeable and very much aware of the present political situations. They are more informed on what's going on around and have a more open attitude towards politic and thus has a greater tendency to sway towards the opposition. Whereas the older generations, especially in the rural areas where news information are scarce, are their core supporters or should I say, their "fixed deposits". So, obviously they rather prefer older voters to younger ones in order to play safe.

This is merely my personal observations, you may have a different view and are very much welcome to leave some comments.
